Despite accounting for hundreds of bank transactions and sending out a couple of hundred helmet stickers each year, I do get time to go flying. Going cross country paragliding is my main bag, but during the autumn and winter I can still be found out on the hill, keeping my hand in. Newcomers to the sport should use that time to build up airtime in less thermic conditions, so as to be ready when the real fun kicks off in March. I'm a Club Coach, so whilst still on the hill am happy to help out with advice. If you want to go XC then start out coming to some of the BCC events, where I'm often found. Even if I'm not there, there'll be lots of people to give XC advice. Whatever you do, stay safe.
