After the incident below Crook Peak earlier in the year (and the 'Flying Vicar' on Points West!) the committee were deeply disturbed to hear from the farmer at Ubley that a paramotor was flying there on Monday, September 21st. We are investigating this incident and, as Ubley is in Bristol International's Special Rules area, if the report is verified and the culprit identified then we shall not hesitate to report the offender to the Civil Aviation Authority.
Paramotors and powered Hang Gliders are not part of our landowner agreements and therefore CANNOT BE MADE WELCOME ON AVON SITES.
This is not an issue on which the Club is currently able to negotiate.
