Adrian Thomas Wins BPC 2nd Leg

Adrian Thomas wins the 2nd leg of the BPC in Grand Bornand. Only one task was flown in the rain affected championship round, denying us the chance of flying in a great area. The only task flown, a 130km race to goal, started with excellent conditions whilst heading along the Aravis before heading out to Annecy. Many of the field failed to get round the Parmelan turnpoint and high cloud came in a shut down the day, leaving the leaders that had crossed the lake stranded. Adrian and Ulric Jessop managed to make it back again and landed near planfait. The rest of the week was rained off leaving Adrian as winner of the Open, with Steve Ham leading the championships. Fiona Macaskill placed 2nd lady behind Tove Andersson. The championships go to Algonadales next in Spetember for their final round.
