The Avon XC League is run as part of the country-wide XC League (www.xcleague.com). Prizes are awarded for hang gliding and paragliding for the longest XC flight, 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the league and the most improved pilot. There is also an Easter Cup and a Bash Trophy (when there's a Bash). The awards are usually presented at the Awards Dinner, held in February. Medals are also awarded to pilots on achieving benchmark XC flights, at 10km, 25km, 50km, 100km (and even for 200km and 400km). |
