I first saw paragliding many years ago when I lived up a valley in the Scottish Borders. At the time I had horses and focused my time on riding them in races. I remember thinking what an amazing view they had and wanted to be up there too. It was several years later that I found out it was the local garage mechanic who fixed my car that I had been watching that day!

I started flying back in 2007 and despite the odd accident or two, am still utterly addicted. Being self-employed, I can usually manage to get out flying on the odd week day too, and can be found out on the hill all year round.

Wanting to give something back to the sport, I joined the committee as Social Secretary for a couple of years, have become a Club Coach and now find myself as Chairman.

I love to meet fellow pilots, so please come and say hello if you see me on a hill.

Have fun and fly safe.
