Westbury Advice - Share The Space
We have had some busy days at Westbury of late and a few issues have arisen, which we are keen to avoid in future:
- Take off and landing areas at the white horse must be treated as an active airfield. Wings must be bunched up and the take off area kept clear, unless you are preparing to actually take off.
- Hang gliders have priority when moving forward towards take off, and at that time no paraglider wings should be inflated or any ground handling taking place.
- HGs should rig in one general area and not be spread across the area where paraglider pilots will be top landing.
- Once you have taken off you must fly away immediately from in front of the take off.
- No waggas, foot drags, wingovers to be performed at, or in front of, take off.
- If there are members of the public at launch you must not inflate wings until they have moved off. Be polite if talking to the general public!
